Named for lifelong friend and hop farmer Reid Lundgren’s daughter, this aromatic pale ale features dry hop additions of Comet, a variety just starting to be rediscovered. Featuring passionfruit aromas and a crisp, dry finish, you’ll be glad we brought this small-batch brew into your orbit.
Fresh off the Farm Fact: Selected in 1961 and released in 1974 by the USDA, Comet was originally utilized for its high alpha acid content and adaptability to growing conditions in the Yakima Valley. Commercial production ceased in the early 1980s in favor of newer super-alpha hops, however, Comet has made a recent comeback, finding favor with some brewers in dual purpose applications for its subtle and unique, "wild American" aroma.
Small Batch Series: Our 30-barrel production brewhouse was installed for our opening in April 2013. A 5-barrel pilot brewhouse was installed as part of our production expansion in 2016. We'll be brewing small batches on the pilot throughout 2017--be on the lookout for these limited brews in the Taproom.
